Welcome To SoCal Code Camp

Next Code Camp January 24th & 25th at California State University Fullerton

Code Camp is a place for developers to come and learn from their peers. This community driven event has become an international trend where peer groups of all platforms, programming languages and disciplines band together to bring content to the community.

Who is speaking at Code Camp? YOU are, YOUR PEERS are, and YOUR LOCAL EXPERTS are…all are welcome! This is a community event and one of the main purposes of the event is to have local community members step up and offer some cool presentations! Don’t worry if you have never given a presentation before, we’ll give you some tips if you need help, and this a great opportunity to spread your wings. Of course, we do have some ringers on our speaker list as well…stay tuned…

Code Camp Fullerton IV announced!

That's right the great folks at California State University Fullerton have invited us back for another Code Camp. We are just starting the plan for this Code Camp but we are already accepting sessions so start signing-up to speak and look back here for more information about the next SoCal Code Camp.

 

Los Angeles Code Camp!

The first Los Angeles Code Camp is shaping up to be an excellent event! Presenters have been adding sessions we are well on our way to another successful SoCal Code Camp event!

Your participation is critical in order to make this the best Code Camp ever! Why wait to do the following?

  • Login/Register check out the current sessions. Be sure to make your sessions of interest known!
  • "Add one or more sessions if you like. Remember who’s speaking at Code Camp…? YOU are!"
  • "Block out the weekend of October 25th and 26th now."
  • "Promote the Code Camp to your peers!"
  • "Volunteer via the “Contact” link (a great way to interact with your friends in the developer community)."

We’re also planning another GEEK dinner with some great fun this year! Can you say “Audience Participation”? Don’t worry, we aren’t going to force anyone on stage but you might see some peers make hams of themselves which will be entertaining and fun for us all…

You register on the site ONCE. This gets you on our list of folks that wants to know about SoCal Code Camp events. We will send you an email as we get closer to each event, so you can decide if you want to enroll in the event. Register now, even if you aren’t sure if you can attend in October so you are on the list to receive the notification email with more information!

Code Camp San Diego is done! What’s next?

The third Code Camp San Diego is done now! We want to thank UCSD Extension for once again hosting Code Camp, the weather and location were perfect! The Geek dinner was a blast, the tacos and drinks were great and the band Sound Cake super! We hope you all enjoyed Code Camp, please feel free to let us know how we can improve for next time and remember to thank all the sponsors that made Code Camp! We have a new Code Camp to announce! Code Camp Los Angles on October 25th & 26th at USC! This is the weekend before the Microsoft Professional Developers.
We will open up session registration in the first week in September so start thinking of what you want to talk about now.

 

Code Camp Pre-dinner

We are having a pre-dinner on Friday night, if you can come please RSVP at the pre-dinner RSVP page. You will need to login to RSVP. Once we get a head count we will email all that RSVP so tel you know where the diner will be but it will be close to the UCSD campus.

I have just uploaded the new look for this site, I hope you all like it! Please let me know if you find any issues, I have tyred to test all the functionality but I am sure I missed some stuff.

As you can tell I need some art work done on the top banner if you want to help out let me know and I will send you the blank blue background for it.
